Running Matlab on Windows 7
Some problem to running your Matlab in Windows 7 because of the java runtime error occured. We should change the java’s version to make it able to run. Here step-by-step to do that :
1. Download the java with version 1.5.0_19. DO NOT use the lastest version. After that, just install the whole package.
2. Open the Matlab root directory. Then, continue to open \sys\java\jre\win32. Find the folder that contain ‘jre’ words, and rename it. you can rename it with anything you like. But, notice the folder’s name before you change it.
3. Open the Java folder at Program Files, C:\Program Files\Java, then find out the folder that you have installed before. For instance, just find the folder named jre1.5.0_19. Copy this folder, then paste it to the Matlab’s Java directory, ex : {Matlab’s root}\sys\java\jre\win32\.
4. After that, rename it with the original name. For example, if we have the original name for jre’s folder is jre.1.5.0, so we should change the folder that you’ve paste with the same name.
5. Matlab is ready to rock..
